Established on June 2, 2011, Blairstown Dog Park committee was created as a not-for-profit organization run solely by volunteers. Our primary purpose is to build a community dog park where dogs can play and people can meet other dog owners in a park-like setting.
To create a fenced in, off-leash dog park where well behaved dogs can exercise, play and socialize in a clean, safe environment without endangering or annoying people, property or wildlife. To develop a beautiful, well-maintained space open to all dog lovers and friends who are willing to uphold the park's rules and guidelines. To view this park as a community project, in partnership with the Township of Blairstown, to promote responsible dog ownership, and satisfy the needs of dog-owners and non-dog owners alike.
Rebecca Seamon - President
Meet Rebecca Seamon, the driving force behind the dog park. Without her hard work and dedication, this park would still be a conversation instead of an incorporated organization well on its way to fruition. Rebecca does all this while being a teacher, wife and a new mom!
Jenny Harrington - Treasurer
Meet Jenny Harrington, the fuel for the fire. Jenny is a dynamo who does not take no for an answer. She has worked tirelessly and is part of the core group that has gotten us to where we are today. She is also the co-head chef of our home-made dog biscuit baking committee. Jenny loves to travel and is often off on a road trip with her constant companion Daisy
Wendy Woythaler - Secretary
Meet Wendy Woythaler, the organizer who keeps us on track. Wendy is responsible for allowing us to use the library for our meetings. She sets up all our meetings and takes copious notes. When not working at the library, Wendy can be found walking any one or all of her three dogs.
